About the Creator

My name is Paul Kelly. Growing up as a Child of Deaf Adults (CODA), sign language was my first language. My journey has always been deeply rooted in the deaf community, with both my parents, an uncle, and two adopted cousins being profoundly deaf. Since becoming a nationally certified sign language interpreter in 2009, I have used my expertise to bridge communication gaps effectively. In 2019, I embarked on a new challenge to learn coding and explore the potential of artificial intelligence. This journey led to the creation of www.signlanguageai.com, an AI-powered sign language interpreting website designed to enhance communication accessibility. Inspired by my family and driven by my professional experiences, my projects aim to make sign language universally accessible and understood. I hope the resources provided on this site will empower users to improve their sign language skills and foster greater inclusion within the deaf community.
